Miami Heat: Ok, the Butler thing makes this kinda hard…

If they don’t get Butler, the fear would be that without a true star, they’ll struggle to stay relevant in an Eastern Conference that, while weak for now, has a lot of young talent. Furthermore, if Butler goes elsewhere, the disappointment of not landing him could effect the team’s on-court performance. If they do get Butler? Well, they’ll have a short period of time to ingratiate him to the culture, and his friendship with Dwyane Wade might not be enough. If they give up assets for Butler, and he leaves in free agency, the Heat could have a difficult few years ahead of them.
