NBA Playoffs 2019: Denver Nuggets vs. San Antonio Spurs Game 4 live stream: Watch online
By Ian Levy
Jamal Murray saved the Nuggets season in Game 2. Derrick White and the Spurs pushed it right back to the brink in Game 3. What’s in store for Game 4?
It took a 21-point fourth-quarter explosion from Jamal Murray to save the Nuggets season in Game 2. He followed that up with 6 points and 4 turnovers on 2-of-6 shooting in a discouraging Game 3 loss. Derrick White, the Spurs’ second-year guard, thoroughly outplaying Murray has been the story of the series. White has had the edge in points (23.0 to 15.7), rebounds (4.0 to 1.7), assists (3.3 to 2.0), and true shooting percentage (73.7 to 45.7).
Denver will need to find an answer for stopping White and for freeing Murray from his defensive clutches if they’re going to get back into this series. Murray’s struggles are particularly unfortunate given how well Nikola Jokic is playing. Through three games, he’s been flirting with a triple-double average, hitting 17.7 points, 11.7 rebounds and 9.7 assists per game.
With DeMar DeRozan and LaMarcus Aldridge, as well as two decades of institutional knowledge, the Spurs have far more playoff experience. However, Denver spent 82 games proving they were the more talented team and they’ll need get back to doing what they do best and leveraging their myriad advantages to avoid a frustrating playoff defeat.

After this, things will move back to Denver but the Nuggets do not want to go back home to face an elimination game with their backs against the wall. This has been one of the most interesting playoffs series in the first round and, given the stakes, Game 4 should be no exception.
