NBA Playoffs 2019: Denver Nuggets vs. Portland Trail Blazers Game 5 live stream: Watch online
By Ian Levy
The Denver Nuggets will host the Portland Trail Blazers for a crucial Game 5. Here’s everything you need to know to watch.
The Nuggets and Trail Blazers have traded games throughout their second-round series and now find themselves headed for a crucial Game 5 in Denver. The Nuggets have been riding their star center, Nikola Jokic, who is averaging 26.8 points, 13.3 rebounds, 9.5 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.0 blocks per game, shooting 52.0 percent from the field and 57.1 percent on 3-pointers. He’s absolutely steamrolled the admittedly injured Enes Kanter, giving Denver an enormous advantage in the paint. For Denver to take Game 5, they’ll need Jokic to be great, but they’ll need help from their defense and outside shooters as well.
The Trail Blazers, on the other hand, have watched their star slowly regress throughout the series. Damian Lillard demolished the Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round but hasn’t matched that in the second round. He’s averaging 27.3 points per game but only shooting 42.9 percent from the field and 9-of-35 on 3-pointers. With the stakes this high and the game on the road, Portland could use a signature performance from their best player, carrying their offense and lifting their spirits.

Both teams have gotten inconsistent play from their benches, with players like Rodney Hood, Seth Curry, Malik Beasley and Will Barton making huge plays for their teams and then disappearing at other times. If Lillard and Jokic are both at their best, Game 5, and control of this series, could come down to which second-unit rotation can step up the biggest.
