A new episode of Fastbreak Breakfast discusses lottery fallout and the end of the conference semifinals.

The Kentucky Derby is officially “The Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports,” but might I suggest the final reveal of the NBA draft lottery is close? The entire future of the NBA seemingly hangs in the balance as Mark Tatum dispassionately reveals which teams the lottery gods have blessed. Fans and front offices desperately hoping their franchises can be saved with a single lucky bounce are either crushed or elated. Outraged conspiracy theorists prepare to dismantle their businesses if the Lakers are awarded the top pick. Dismayed Knicks fans refuse to acknowledge finishing third is actually a statistically good result. Exhilarating!

Now that the march to Zion has concluded, what does this mean for the teams at the top? What does this mean for Anthony Davis? How do bad teams who slid to almost worst case scenarios, like the Suns, Cavaliers and Bulls recover? Is it okay to draw conclusions about tanking now?

On a new episode of Fastbreak Breakfast all of this is covered, plus:

  • Would a backcourt of Ja Morant and Mike Conley work in Memphis?
  • Who were the biggest losers of lottery night?
  • Nikola Jokic’s supporting cast completely abandoned him in Games 6 and 7 against the Trail Blazers. How does Denver get better this summer?
  • Who would win a Nuggets/76ers playoff series?
  • How many players on the Warriors prefer playing without Kevin Durant?
  • Where does the Kawhi Leonard game-winning shot rank in all-time playoff moments?

Fastbreak Breakfast is a podcast for serious NBA fans that is incredibly not serious. All episodes are available on Apple Podcasts and Soundcloud or any other major podcast service.
