Another main event title match is set. Here’s everything to know ahead of the May 29, 2019 edition of NXT UK.

Wow. What a season it’s been of the Nina Samuels Show! The wrestling! The drama! The cartwheels off the top rope! The promos delivered to one’s own reflection while sitting in front of four to six greeting cards! We’ve been enraptured by it all.

Everything comes to a head on Wednesday night, though, in the show’s potentially game-changing season finale. Samuels will face her toughest challenge yet, as she wrestles Toni Storm. Oh, and there just so happens to be a little title belt called the NXT UK Women’s Championship on the line. Stakes is high.

A few episodes ago, Samuels finally leaned into the darkness that had been swimming around her, calling out Storm and boldly asserting the champ hated her family. This sent Storm into a rage, where she made it clear that Samuels would dearly regret trying to mess with her head. At the same time, however, Storm also just handed a title shot out to Samuels without even being explicitly challenged for one. Now that’s some high-quality cerebral manipulation.

Will Samuels’ ascent up the NXT women’s division culminate in a championship coronation befitting a leading lady? Or will Samuels learn a few hard lessons about the perils of blind ambition?

Last week’s main event — a WWE United Kingdom Championship rematch between Pete Dunne and WALTER — ended in pretty shocking fashion. With WALTER locked in a submission, wrenching his already battle-ravaged fingers apart, Dunne seemed all but certain to regain his title from the man who ended his 685 day reign.

But suddenly, a wild Fabian Aichner appeared to do what he’s best known for: push things. And push he did, nudging the bottom rope inward just enough, allowing WALTER to touch it and break the submission. Meanwhile, with everyone distracted and confused over the interference, an equally wild Marcel Barthel appeared, and clocked Dunne in the back of the head with the championship. This allowed WALTER to scoop up the lifeless body of The Bruiserweight and hit a powerbomb to retain. All at once, WALTER revealed his true self, a new faction was born and the power balance in NXT UK shifted even further into The Ring General’s corner.

Everything in the preceding two paragraphs is to point out that the description of this episode on the WWE Network states, “Pete Dunne enlists some old allies to combat WALTER and his acquaintances.” Unless the

rode their wooden ship across the Atlantic Ocean to assist their WarGames buddy, this undoubtedly means a team-up with Tyler Bate and Trent Seven.

It looks like some faction warfare could be on the horizon between British Strong Style and the WALTER-Aichner-Barthel triumvirate, who will assuredly have their official name announced soon, but until such a time will be referred to as the New WALTER Order (nWo for short).

Also, Kassius Ohno. After two weeks of being unable to get a meeting with his longtime close personal friend Johnny Saint, the Wrestling Knockout Genius Artist had to settle for Sid Scala. Ohno was upset over his lack of inclusion in the fatal four-way qualifiers and subsequent inability to show everyone — as an American wrestler from Ohio — what “pure” British wrestling is all about.

Now, he’ll finally get his chance, in competition with Jack Gallagher, who rumor has it, might know a thing or two about British wrestling. When an American takes on a Brit, who will prove to be the truest British wrestler of them all?
