NBA Finals 2019: Toronto Raptors vs. Golden State Warriors Game 1 live stream: Watch online
By Ian Levy
The Toronto Raptors will host Game 1 of the 2019 NBA Finals against the Golden State Warriors. Here’s all the information you need to watch on TV and online.
On the back of an incredible set of performances from Kawhi Leonard, the Raptors are set to make their first NBA Finals appearance in franchise history, hosting Game 1. With the absence of Kevin Durant for at least the first two games of the series, many statistical models even have them as slight favorites over the vaunted Warriors. If they’re going to complete this epic championship run they’ll need the formula to continue working for them — Kawhi’s playmaking helping them create open 3s, Pascal Siakam being a difference-maker, Kyle Lowry continuing to come up huge, and their defense forcing Golden State into plenty of turnovers.
The Warriors have rolled to this point, even without Kevin Durant. Things could change dramatically if Durant and/or DeMarcus Cousins are able to play but a lot will depend on how effective their health will allow them to be and how the team deals with the psychological weight of what could be the last run for the team as currently constructed.
With both teams possessing depth, playmaking, shooting and plenty of versatility every possession could look like a chess match and this series has the potential to go deep, offering a lot more uncertainty than we’ve seen in the past few NBA Finals.
