Which starting pitchers should you take a chance on as streamers for your fantasy baseball team?

There are about five weeks left until the Fantasy Baseball playoffs start.  That means it’s now or never for your playoff push. Whether you’re in a Fantasy baseball head-to-head, point or roto league, you can make a couple of moves to put yourself in a good spot for a championship.

One of those moves is streaming starting pitchers. There are a few good match-ups on the August 6 slate of games that fantasy owners should take advantage of to get a boost in some of the pitching categories.

As usual, the pitchers I select are owned in less than 40 percent of ESPN leagues. There is a reason why they are on the waiver wire but for one game, they should give you a good performance. And then you can dump them.

Here are my three streaming options for August 6.

Jakob Junis, @BOS

Junis had two bad starts in his last two games, allowing a combined 16 hits, 10 runs, four walks and 11 strikeouts. In his three games before that, he had three straight quality starts and two wins.

Junis and the Royals take on the Red Sox. So far, in six August games, they are hitting .217 with 23 runs scored and 11 home runs.

They have a couple of power hitters but if the rest of the team can’t hit the ball, Junis should have a good outing.

Dinelson Lamet, @SEA

Lamet hasn’t pitched more than five innings since returning to the Padres lineup. But, going five innings qualifies him for a win. He’s pitched 23.0 innings with 30 strikeouts, nine walks and 13 earned runs.

The Mariners are hitting 0.80 with three runs scored in four games this month. They’ve been dealing with injuries over the last couple of months. Daniel Vogelbach and Domingo Santana have over 20 home runs and 65 RBI. Outside of them, I don’t like anyone else in the Mariners lineup.

Lamet should be able to limit the damage and get another win.

Chase Anderson, @PIT

Anderson reached six innings pitched for the first time since June 9. He has one win in his last seven games. Though, that’ll happen when you pitch just over five innings per start.

The Pirates offense is also struggling this month, hitting .241 with 22 runs scored in four games. While Anderson may give up a couple of runs, the Brewers offense has the ability to score a few more runs.

Anderson has been on a streak of good outings. This could end up being another one.

fantasy baseball streaming Honorable Mention: Zach Plesac, vs. TEX; Anibal Sanchez, @SF; all starters in DET/CWS doubleheader

Next. MLB DFS Pitching Primer: Tuesday, 8/6 – New Zack or Old Zack?. dark

The fantasy baseball streaming options continue to get weaker as we get deeper into the season. Take these pick with a grain of salt or a shot of tequila should they work out for you. Good luck and happy streaming.
