Fans will finally see the long awaited rivalry with Kenny Omega set to face Jon Moxley at AEW Full Gear on Saturday, November 9.

The fight is back on. While fans enjoyed the exhibition between PAC and Kenny Omega at AEW‘s All Out, this is what everyone has been waiting for. Omega will be facing Jon Moxley at Full Gear on November 9 in Baltimore, AEW announced on Wednesday.

Moxley sent shockwaves through the wrestling world when he showed up at Double or Nothing and attacked Chris Jericho and Omega. This would set up a feud between what was wrestling’s hottest free agent (Moxley) and possibly the best wrestler in the world (Omega).

However, the match could not take place as initially scheduled, as Moxley announced he had to pull out of All Out while he managed a health scare with MRSA, an issue he’s also dealt with in the past.

The infection occurred in Moxley’s elbow and required immediate attention to remove the bursa sac. MRSA, or Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus Aureus is a type of staph infection that can become fatal if untreated. The correct decision was made to pull out of All Out. Omega wasn’t pleased about this news, to say the least.

Adding fuel to this budding rivalry is the smart play heading into AEW’s debut on TNT. If Moxley is healthy for the television debut we could see both superstars cross paths. Moxley has only competed once under the AEW banner, against Joey Janela at Fight for the Fallen. He is also the current IWGP United States Champion, winning the title from Juice Robinson at the New Japan Best of the Super Juniors Finals.

It’s safe to say with the recent health scare Moxley should still hold this title when AEW debuts on TNT. Omega is the first holder of the IWGP United States title, which could be used to add fire to this feud. Moxley is set to be healthy again which is great news, and the even better news is fans won’t have to wait long to see these two do battle.
