Here’s the recap of all the high-flying action you may have missed from this week’s episode of 205 Live. Watch the cruiserweights every Friday night at 10 PM.

Isaiah “Swerve” Scott vs. Ariya Daivari

After NXT made an emphatic statement on Friday Night SmackDown, Scott came to the ring in an NXT shirt. As Swerve was posing on the turnbuckle, Daivari attacked him from behind. He ripped the shirt from Scott’s body as soon as he got him back in the ring. A couple of refs checked on Swerve after the attack, but determined that Scott can continue and the bell finally rang.

Daivari immediately goes on the offensive, pulling his opponent down to the floor and throwing several punches. Once back in the ring, Scott gets out of the corner and gives Daivari a taste of his own medicine. “Daivari Dinero” throat punches Swerve to regain control. Throughout most of the match, Daivari controls the matchup.

Scott finally is able to bring his own brand of offense with a German suplex, strikes and a clothesline. Daivari grabs Swerve’s hair and yells in his face that “this is Daivari’s house.” Swerve slaps him in the face and double stomps him on the apron. Daivari hits a belly to belly off the top rope and attempts a splash from the other corner, but comes up empty. Scott connects with a vicious kick and pins Daivari.

Bollywood Boyz 24/7

The Singh Brothers were at Crown Jewel and R-Truth pinned Sunil for the 24/7 Title. After R-Truth runs into a door and falls back, Sumir pinned him to become the current 24/7 Champion.

Jack Gallagher vs. Ray Jazikoff

In this week’s edition of a “205 Live Superstar faces enhancement talent,” it’s Gallagher’s turn. “The Gentleman” and his opponent trade technical moves. While Jazikoff keeps up, Gallagher shows why he’s the best as what he does. He headbutts his opponent out of the ring before sending him into the barricade. Gallagher gets in a few chops and another headbutt. He dropkicks his opponent’s face, gets him in the ring, hits another dropkick and pins Jazikoff.

A Brilliant Announcement

Next week, NXT UK joins 205 Live when WWE is in England.

Lio Rush vs. Raul Mendoza

NXT Cruiserweight champ Lio Rush represents the black and yellow brand with his t-shirt. Rush and Mendoza quickly lock up when the bell rings. Mendoza nearly rolls up the champ for the win within a couple minutes. This energizes Rush, who gets Mendoza out of the ring and then wipes him out.

Rush continues on the offense by getting Mendoza in the corner and keeping him down with punches and kicks. He gets Mendoza to the other corner for more of the same. Rush goes up top and Mendoza kicks the “Man of the Hour” in the face to bring him down. He then gives Rush a taste of his own medicine in the corner. Last week, Rush says he was impressed with Mendoza and he got a first-hand look at what Mendoza did against Nese.

Rush fights his way out, but they seesaw match control back and forth. Mendoza comes very close to pinning Rush. They exchange blows on the apron before Mendoza superkicks Rush. Rush moonsaults onto Mendoza, who is now on the outside. Once back in the ring, Rush takes control with a various slaps to the chest and face. He pins Mendoza, who kicks out at “2 and 9-9-9-9”, according to Aiden English.

Rush locks Mendoza in with a single leg Crab, and he is then able to turn over and kick Rush. Rush hits a leg sweep followed by the Final Hour to pin Mendoza.

The ref attempts to give Rush the title, but he goes over to his opponent to show him some respect and fist bumps him before celebrating his win.
