Fiorentina have lost four straight games. The losing streak has put some pressure on manager Vincenzo Montella, who has been fired midseason in each of his last two jobs. The Viola have dropped to 13th in the table, picking up 16 points in their 15 games. Fiorentina are in the middle of the table in goals and goals allowed. That combination will likely keep the Viola in the middle of the table and out of the race for Europe. If Fiorentina are going to upset Inter, it will likely be because of Federico Chiesa. The Italian winger has three goals and five assists this season.
Inter Milan were knocked out of the Champions League after a very disappointing loss to Barcelona. With Barcelona already through to the knockout stage, Inter had to beat Barcelona’s backups to clinch a spot in the round of 16 but lost 2-1. The loss was the first negative mark against manager Antonio Conte’s tenure since taking over Inter in the summer. Conte has helped turned Inter into a team that looks like they can win the title. The Italian manager has improved Inter’s defense. No team has allowed fewer goals than Inter. Offensively, Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez are having great seasons, combining for 18 goals and will be the key to Inter’s attack on Sunday. Conte’s team will look to maintain their lead over Juventus and continue their perfect away record this season.
