College football recruiting predictions for every 2021 5-star recruit

Damon Payne has yet to announce his commitment and several programs are still vying to land the top defensive tackle recruit in the 2021 class.  The Belleville, Michigan product is a big body with the ability to play along the line at different spots given his talent.

To have the talent to dominate inside but also have success in different schemes makes Payne a special talent. Defensive coordinators will love to get their chance to try and mold him into something special on Saturdays.

Where will Payne land? The defensive tackle could go for Alabama or he could stay closer to home and choose Ohio State. Given the success in commitments the Buckeyes are already having for 2021, it’d be hard to bet against them right now.

True to the term running back, Camar Wheaton is the nature of the position personified. The top running back recruit in the 2021 class,  Wheaton is an aggressive running back that appears the part of a downhill runner.

Once he gets rolling, it’s hard to bring Wheaton down. He’s not much of a receiving threat, but his bread and butter is taking the ball down the field with size and speed. Once he gets rolling, he has the ability to break off long runs.

He can handle the heavy workload of a full-time running back. The Texas native has offers from big-time programs such as LSU, Alabama, Texas and Oklahoma. The Sooners currently don’t have a running back commit in their 2021 class. He’s been pursued heavily by former Sooner great DeMarco Murray. It would be a great landing spot for Wheaton.
