5 reasons the Ravens will regress in 2020
2. Their offense won’t catch the NFL by surprise
The entire Ravens organization deserves credit for building an offense that was a perfect fit for their roster talent in 2019. While the rest of the league went all-in on high-flying aerial attacks, Baltimore built a devastating ground game.

Opposing coaches have had plenty of time to study what the Ravens did to them a year ago during the offseason. The Ravens will come out with some new wrinkles in 2020, but it’s safe to project the rest of the league to catch up to much of what Baltimore does. That doesn’t mean opposing defenses will stifle the Ravens this season, but it does mean they should put up significantly more resistance.
Specifically, opponents are going to load up against Baltimore’s run game. Defensive coordinators are going to build their game plans with the objective of forcing Jackson to beat them with accurate passing. Taking away the run game and throws over the top is going to slow the Ravens’ offense down.
Jackson is still going to lead this offense to a lot of points in 2020, but a small dip in the unit’s effectiveness is going to bring them back to the pack in the AFC North. The team’s coaching staff faces a huge challenge to keep their play-calling fresh.
