3 players who won’t be on the Chicago Bears roster after 2020 season

The Chicago Bears are going to be a completely different team in 2021.
It seemed like yesterday that the Chicago Bears were a powerhouse in the NFC. They were shockingly eliminated by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2019 NFC Wild Card Game, but that was nothing to fret over. The defense was monstrous enough to help the Bears clinch another postseason berth and help them make a deep push to the Super Bowl.
Boy, were we ever fooled.
Chicago fell to 8-8 last season, mostly due to their anemic offense, forcing the defense to stay on the field for extended periods of time. Entering 2020, general manager Ryan Pace is on the proverbial hot seat, and he has to find a way to turn things around, or he’ll be shown the door.
Whether they stay or go, there are going to be players who won’t remain in the Windy City come 2021.

The Chicago Bears saw the success of the Baltimore Ravens last season, and opted to embrace their longstanding philosophy of: “you can never have enough tight ends.”
This offseason, Pace made the mind-numbing decision to sign declining tight end Jimmy Graham to a deal that included no-trade clause. Additionally, the Bears used their first selection in this year’s NFL Draft to pick Notre Dame’s Cole Kmet. With those additions, that means Chicago now has 10 tight ends on the roster!
Somebody has got to go, and that could very well be Adam Shaheen.
Chicago used their second round pick to select Shaheen out of Ashland in 2017, and has basically been a bust. Through 27 games in three NFL seasons, Shaheen recorded a measly 26 receptions for 249 yards and four touchdowns. Even with that poor output, the Bears still have plans for him in their offense for the 2020 season. Let’s face it, Kmet is going to garner the majority of starting snaps, so don’t be surprised to see the Bears opt to release Shaheen by the end of the upcoming season.
