Here are three recruits from the class of 2021 that could land at Kentucky.

Landing top recruits is a way of life at Kentucky, which has made a habit of snaring one-and-dones under head coach John Calipari. There is another army of star freshmen headed to Kentucky’s lineup this season, including B.J. Boston and Terrence Clarke.

It is never too early to look ahead to the class of 2021, which Calipari is surely doing as we speak. Let’s take a look at three top recruits for the Wildcats next season, beginning with Moussa Diabate.

3. Top Kentucky basketball recruiting targets: Moussa Diabate, PF

There is plenty of opportunity up front for Kentucky in the near future, which has to be appealing to Diabate. A 6-foot-10 power forward for IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL, Diabate will be an intimidating presence from the jump.

Diabate’s length and wingspan will allow him to be a true rim protector, making it easier for the rest of the Wildcats’ defense to flow around him. Scouts are absolutely in love with Diabate’s ability to defend, rebound, and block shots, areas of his game that will thrive due to his physicality and desire to create contact.

The offensive side of the ball is an area where Diabate could still use work and Kentucky should be able to allow him to develop while other gifted freshmen dominate the touches. Calipari would love to get Diabate to be a difference-maker in the post for Kentucky and potentially succeed Keion Brooks at the four next season.
