Texans WR Kenny Stills cleared of felony charges in Breonna Taylor protest arrest.
Many athletes and celebrities have been seen protesting the various Black Lives Matter issues that have arisen in the last few months. One of those athletes was Texan WR Kenny Stills who was arrested this week while protesting for Breonna Taylor‘s killers, multiple Lousiville, KY police officers, to be arrested.
In March Taylor was killed when police opened fire on her as she slept in her home. They were serving a no-knock warrant for a suspect who was already in custody. Taylor was working as an EMT during the COVID-19 pandemic at the time.
Mike O’Connell, the Jefferson County attorney sent a press release announcing that Stills and all other protesters who were arrested on July 14 outside the home of Attorney General Daniel Cameron’s home, would be dismissed of all felony charges.

“While we do believe the LMPD had probable cause for the charge, in the interest of justice and the promotion of the free exchange of ideas, we will dismiss that charge for each protestor arrested this past Tuesday.”
The letter indicated they would review the misdemeanor and violations “at a later date.”
Stills and other famous names have been arrested in protests in the last few weeks as the issues have hit close to home to so many of the sports and entertainment world elite.
