CeeDee Lamb has signed his rookie deal, and he’s officially part of the Dallas Cowboys’ plan.
The Dallas Cowboys chose to build upon an already strong receiving corps when they added Oklahoma stud CeeDee Lamb in the 2020 NFL Draft. After a pandemic-induced delay, Lamb is officially a member of America’s team.
Per Ian Rapoport, Lamb has agreed to a standard rookie deal with the Cowboys, officially kick-starting the career of one of the most talented young wideouts in the game.
The #Cowboys have agreed to terms with No. 17 overall pick WR CeeDee Lamb, I’m told. He gets a four-year, fully guaranteed deal worth $14.01M, along with a fifth-year option. Rookies have begun reporting across the NFL, and Lamb can now join them.

CeeDee Lamb should produce instantly in Dallas.
Perhaps no one in Dallas is more excited about this than Dak Prescott. After an offseason of trying to get paid what he’s worth, the signing of Lamb gives Dak another tool with which to burn defenses to the ground with during 2020. Adding Lamb to the mix is a surefire way for Dak to flex all over Jerry Jones this season for not paying him, then demand even more in the end.
The Cowboys had to be pinching themselves when Lamb slipped to them at No. 17, as some considered him to be the best wide receiver in the draft. During the 2019 season, Lamb piled up 1,327 yards on an absurd 21.4 yards per catch to go along with 14 touchdowns.
Even though the Cowboys have one of the best in the game in Amari Cooper lining up at wide receiver, which led many to believe they would choose a defensive back to replace Byron Jones, Lamb was too good to pass up. Dallas addressed the secondary when they drafted Alabama corner Trevon Diggs in the second round and Tulsa’s Reggie Robinson II in the fourth round.
Not only does Lamb have the size to be dominant at 6-2 and just under 200 pounds, but his combination of speed, soft hands, and vision as a ball carrier are so lethal that it wouldn’t be crazy if he took the WR2 job away from Michael Gallup despite his 1,100-yard season in 2019.
5⃣1⃣ Days Until ⭕️🙌🏈🤞.

Lamb is wearing the same No. 88 that Cowboy legends like Drew Pearson, Michael Irvin, and Dez Bryant have worn, showing what the organization thinks he can do for the Dallas offense.
With Dak Prescott at quarterback and the mad scientist known as Kellen Moore drawing up plays, 1,000 yards might not be too lofty a goal for Lamb during his rookie season.
