Final 2019-20 Premier League table revealed after Sunday’s results
This season’s Premier League table is final after Sunday’s matches.
On Sunday, the English Premier League concluded its league matches and the standings from the 2019-20 season are now set.
Liverpool ended up at the top of the table, and no one was even close to contending with them for the Premier League title as the Reds finished with 99 points, good for an entire 18 points ahead of second place Manchester City, who finished with 81.
Along with City and Liverpool, the third and fourth place teams qualify for UEFA Champions League play during the next season. These spots went to Manchester United, who finished third in the table, and Chelsea who finished fourth.
Both Manchester United and Chelsea finished with a total of 66 points, but when clubs are tied in points they are ranked based on goal differential, which is goals allowed against goals scored, and the Red Devils had a goal differential of 30, while Chelsea had one of 15.

Along with the top four teams qualifying for Champions League play, the fifth and sixth place Premier League teams qualify for the UEFA Europa League tournament.
Leceister City, who failed to reach the top four after a season-ending defeat against United, finished fifth with a total of 62 points and Tottenham finished sixth with 59 points, both of which earned them a spot in the Europa League next season.
While the top finishers in the table are rewarded with qualifying for European championship soccer, the bottom three teams are punished by being relegated to another league a level below the PL.
For this season, the bottom three teams were Bournemouth, Watford, and Norwich City, who all finished with less than 35 points.
