American wonderboy Christian Pulisic could miss start of 2020 Premier League season

Will Christian Pulisic be available to start the 2020 season?
Despite a transfer ban and a poor backline, the brilliant play of Christian Pulisic was one of the main reasons that Chelsea were able to secure Champions League soccer once more. Pulisic’s rise to the top hit a major speed bump in the 2020 FA Cup Final, however, as he was knocked out of that game due to a hamstring injury.
Pulisic’s injury might be so severe that manager Frank Lampard believes it might prevent him from starting the 2020-21 Premier League season, which will start in September, on time.
Christian Pulisic proved he was worth the hype during his first season with Chelsea.
Pulisic, who came over to the West London side from Borussia Dortmund, struggled with injuries and a slow start to the 2019-20 campaign, but his performances during the latter stages of the season proved he was worth the €64 million fee. In 34 games with the Blues, the American star netted 11 times, included nine times in the Premier League. Those 11 goals are the most he’s ever had in a season.
Lampard and Chelsea will undoubtedly miss him, but they do have enough attacking options to replace him. In addition to young forwards Callum Hudson-Odoi and Tammy Abraham already on the roster from the beginning of last season, Chelsea has already secured the signings of RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner and Ajax creator Hakim Ziyech. They could pick up the scoring load in Pulisic’s absence.
With Bayer Leverkusen attacking midfielder Kai Havertz and Atletico Madrid defender Jose Gimenez potentially coming to Stamford Bridge, Chelsea will be able to stock up on reinforcements in 2020.
Pulisic is just a 21-year-old winger, and he was one goal short of netting double-digit Premier League goals in his first season in England. Unfortunately, fans might need to wait a bit before the American star gets back on the pitch.
