Tyreek Hill goes down with a hamstring injury during Chiefs practice
In some concerning news, Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill left practice early on Thursday with a hamstring injury.
The Kansas City Chiefs have not had to deal with much adversity since winning their first Super Bowl title in 50 years. The NFL powerhouse has inarguably had the strongest offseason out there, but some unfortunate news has arrived for star wide receiver Tyreek Hill.
During practice on Thursday, the speedster went down with a hamstring injury and was forced to miss the rest of the session.
For the Kansas City offense, losing Hill for any amount of time would be a big-time blow for the offense and Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes.
What makes Hill one of the more electric players in the league is his incredible speed. His ability to breakaway from defenders and then leave them in the dust while sprinting for the end zone is something that drives defensive coordinators crazy.
Hamstring injuries can definitely not only be tricky ones, but ones to worry about as well. The man known as ‘Cheetah’ is inarguably the last player, other than Mahomes, the Kansas City coaching staff wants to worry about, especially with a bad hammy.
Last season, Hill was a monstrous part of Kansas City’s explosive offense, ultimately helping the team bring home the Lombardi Trophy. The speedy wideout finished the year with 58 receptions for 860 yards and seven touchdowns in 12 games. He’s so fast, not even Mahomes’ rocket for an arm could overthrow him.
For now, it will be a wait and see to figure out just how serious this injury is for Hill. Stay tuned, Chiefs fans.
