Clayton Kershaw sets MLB history with latest win.
The Los Angeles Dodgers had a very good first game of two on Thursday afternoon against division rivals San Francisco Giants. And that very good game came with Clayton Kershaw on the mound. The star pitcher also notched a new record on his belt when he became the winningest (by percent) left-handed pitcher in Dodgers’ history.

Kershaw also climbs towards 2,500 total strikeouts, with just seven strikeouts left to hit that milestone mark. He threw for six scoreless innings in the Dodgers 7-0 win in a shorter seven-inning game.
Clayton Kershaw is almost at 2,500 strikeouts
He’s 3-1 in his four starts this season with a 2.25 ERA (6 ER/24.0 IP) and 29 strikeouts. He recorded 172 wins overall and is inching closer to the fourth all-time in Dodger history right behind icons Don Sutton (233), Don Drysdale (209), Dazzy Vance (190) and Brickyard Kennedy (177).
Also hitting a milestone on Thursday afternoon was one of the newest Dodgers, Mookie Betts. He made his 1,000th career hit.
Another milestone.
