Dwayne Haskins agent is mad his client is under fire in Washington

Dwayne Haskins agent is mad his client is used as a scapegoat in Washington.
Dwayne Haskins could be benched sooner than expected.
The Washington Football Team dropped to a 1-3 record after a 31-17 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. Prior to the game, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport tweeted a report saying “the pressure is on” Haskins. David Mulugheta, Haskins agent, fired back at Rapoport’s message via Twitter on Sunday.
“Amazing this is the narrative coming out of DC,” Mulugheta tweeted. “A young QB (10 starts total over 2 seasons) who is in a brand new system, with no off-season in said new system, a young OL, limited weapons on offense and only 3 games into the NFL season. Yet ‘he’ is the one that must play well.”
When Washington released Adrian Peterson right before the season, the team all but admitted they were a rebuilding team who were leaning younger. All Day, 35, was their most talented player on offense and a strong team leader. This squad is thin at the skills positions. They came into the season with little expectations, so why is Haskins getting the bulk of the blame?
In Week 4, Haskins played against the 2019 NFL MVP in Lamar Jackson. The Ravens came in as 14-point favorites to win. In the loss, Haskins finished with a quarterback rating of 90.4, completed 32 of 45 passes for 314 yards and rushed for a touchdown. At 1-3, Washington Football Team remains at the top of the NFC East ahead of the Philadelphia Eagles Sunday Night matchup against the San Francisco 49ers.
Yes, through four games Washington’s offense has not looked pretty. However, there is blame to go around and the finger should be pointed at the front office. This team was not constructed to “win now” and it is no secret this squad has more talent on its defense than its offense. With that said, this was a year where newly hired head coach Ron Rivera would change the culture and both evaluate and develop the young talent on this team. Through four games, one player, specifically the quarterback, should not absorb all the blame for a team in this predicament.
Mulugheta is right that alleged sources pinning Washington’s woes solely on Haskins should stand to be corrected and understand this entire team is going through a process. Realistically, did any NFL insider expect more from this team from a performance standpoint?
