Nick Chubb suffers apparent knee injury early against Cowboys

The Browns are holding their collective breath after Nick Chubb was helped off the field
Chubb’s status for the rest of the game is unknown, as Trysten Hill rolled up on the Georgia product’s knee. The Browns two-headed monster at running back consists of Chubb and Kareem Hunt. Cleveland’s run game has worked to their favor all year long, and dating back to midseason in 2019.
While the Browns offense features plenty of big names in Baker Mayfield, Jarvis Landry, Austin Hooper and Odell Beckham, Jr., it can be argued that it all starts with their run game. Chubb is the engine that makes Cleveland’s offense go, and without him on the field, they’ll have to rediscover their identity.
Without Chubb, the Browns run game is reliant on Hunt
Hunt is a former NFL rushing champ for a reason. While it’s unknown if he’ll ever be that player again, the Browns took a chance on Hunt two years ago and it has paid off tremendously. Hunt has remained out of trouble and the Browns rewarded him with a new contract extension fairly recently. If Chubb is to miss any time, Hunt will have his opportunity to prove he can be a feature running back once again in this league.
Chubb was ruled out for the rest of the game at halftime. His status moving forward is up in the air, and the Browns may have to imagine life without their starting running back, at least for a few weeks.
