George Springer hits go-ahead bomb against Rays (Video)

The Houston Astros have struggled all series with runners in scoring position, until Game 4 on Wednesday.
Remember when Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena hit a game-tying home run against the Houston Astros on Wednesday night. Yeah, those were good times. But now, the fun is over for Tampa Bay, as the lead lasted for a full inning in Game 4 of the ALCS.
In the bottom of the fifth-inning, Astros outfielder George Springer stepped into the batters box with catcher Martin Maldonado on first. Springer saw a 98.4-mph fastball from Rays pitcher Tyler Glasnow reach just outside the top of the strike zone, and sent it to the Western Metal Supply Co. building in left field to take a 4-2 lead.
Springer “springs” into action
This was Springer’s third home run of the 2020 MLB postseason. His other two home runs came in Game 2 of the ALDS against the Oakland Athletics.
Perhaps the biggest story of the ALCS surrounding the Astros, besides Jose Altuve’s case of the yips at second base, has been the team’s inability to knock in runners in scoring position. Through the first three games of the series, the Astros have gone 4-for-24, which certainly won’t win you games.
It took until Game 4 of the ALCS for the Astros to finally send runners home, but hey, better late than never!
