The Los Angeles Dodgers go on the board against the Atlanta Braves via an Edwin Rios home run.

After dropping the first two games of the NLCS, the Los Angeles Dodgers destroyed the Atlanta Braves 15-3. Many wondered if the Dodgers would suffer from hitting fatigue after their big day. Usually when a team records 16 hits in a game, they’re usually hard to come by the next contest. The answer to that question was a big no, courtesy of designated hitter Edwin Rios.

There was talk about whether anyone could hit a home run out of Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas due to high winds. Rios proved that the gusts were no issue for him, as he hit a solo home run off starter Bryse Wilson in the top of the third-inning to give Los Angeles an early 1-0 lead.

Wind is no problem for the Dodgers

Rios’ name wasn’t called upon much this postseason, as this was his third time in the Dodgers’ batting lineup. The infielder went hitless in Game 2 of the Wild Card Round against the Milwaukee Brewers, but he recorded one hit in the Game 3 of the NLCS, which was ironically a solo home run!

The Dodgers were looking to comeback from a 2-0 series deficit to the Braves to tie up the series. Unfortunately for them, the wheels fell off following Marcell Ozuna’s game-tying homer in the fourth-inning and a hit parade in the bottom of the sixth-inning. But hey, Rios can say that he has a home run streak that currently sits at two games.
