Former Steeler Ramon Foster had quite the strong comment about Andy Dalton’s time with the Bengals.

Andy Dalton was once seen as the franchise quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals. His tenure was instead filled with plenty of mediocrity and the Bengals have a new franchise guy in Joe Burrow.

But that didn’t mean Dalton’s career was coming to a crashing end. The Dallas Cowboys made the highly-supported move to make him their backup and that appeared to look even smarter once Dak Prescott went down. However, Dalton and the entire Cowboys offense is looking like garbage Monday night against the Arizona Cardinals.

Former Pittsburgh Steelers offensive lineman Ramon Foster decided to chime in about his own thoughts on Dalton. He wasn’t exactly handing out compliments.

Dalton was part of a Bengals team that lost five straight times in the Wild Card round of the playoffs. The fifth and final time came against the Steelers in an ugly 18-16 game, but Dalton was out with an injury.

Foster’s comments are pointing toward Dalton’s performance Monday night. He has two interceptions on the night and should at least have one more. The first one was a blown pass interference call, but Dalton is still not doing much against the Cardinals defense. He is also getting destroyed behind a weakened offensive line.

The former Bengals quarterback actually had some sustained success while in Cincinnati. Then the wheels fell off beginning in 2016 and it was hard to bounce back from all those early postseason exits. Now he is essentially waiting to be hit in the Dallas backfield and it is unlikely that changes given all the injuries to those being paid to protect him.

Foster had plenty of success with the Steelers and likely only saw the Baltimore Ravens as a true rival during his career. The Bengals had potential, but average play from Dalton meant the team was never a threat in the AFC. Cowboys fans are now seeing Dalton is not going to have the offense rolling like when Prescott is calling the shots.
