A one-handed catch? Practice or not, Dez Bryant is back baby!

Dez Bryant might not be making noise on Sundays yet, but he’s doing so in practice. One day after joining his new team, Bryant already has players and reporters talking about his impact.

The Baltimore Ravens’ newest receiver currently is helping the defense prepare for their matchup against AFC North rival Pittsburgh this Sunday by pretending to be Chase Claypool. ESPN reporter Jamison Hensley was able to capture this video of the former Cowboy haul in an impressive one-handed grab.

The Ravens agreed to terms to bring Bryant on their practice squad for the remainder of the 2020 season. Bryant, 31, hasn’t been in the league for the past two seasons due to injury. The former star receiver was overjoyed to receive a second chance in the NFL, tweeting out his gratitude earlier this week.

How long until Bryant makes an impact with the Ravens?

Bryant is best known for his time with the Dallas Cowboys as Tony Romo’s No.1 target. During his eight-year stint at “the Star” the three-time Pro Bowler finished with 531 receptions for 7,459 yards and 73 touchdown catches. Bryant was released before the start of the 2018 season.

The Ravens still are a front-runner for the AFC title thanks to their quick 5-1 start. Even with MVP Lamar Jackson still being effective in the run, it’s the passing game that has taken a step back this season. The team ranks 31st in total passing, with only second-year receiver Marquise Brown and third-year tight end Mark Andrews having more than 11 receptions on the year. Overall, the wide receivers have tallied 58 catches, 737 receiving yards and two touchdowns in that span.

The biggest question is how healthy is Bryant? After signing a one-year deal with the New Orleans Saints in 2018, Bryant would last two days before tearing his Achilles tendon and missing the remainder of the season. If healthy, expect the practice squad to be a temporary place for No.88.

Bryant would add a physical presence to the Ravens offense while ultimately gaining revenge on the Cowboys, who the Ravens are set to play on Dec. 3.

Next. Packers will need a serious offer to pry Will Fuller from the Texans. dark
