Twitter lost their minds as “Iron” Mike Tyson’s return to the ring was upstaged by a truly shocking host.

Saturday’s premier boxing event promised to be strange. But no one really knew how strange it would end up being until Mario Lopez showed up to host the card headlined by Iron Mike Tyson’s return to the boxing ring for the first time in 15 years and co-main event by perennial youtube bad boy Jake Paul facing off against former Los Angeles Clippers Point Gaurd.

Comedians and boxing fans alike immediately jumped onto the odd pairing of Extra’s Lopez with the Tyson promoted card.

Several people commented on how good the 47-year-old television host still looks. With some even claiming that he must be “a vampire.”

Lopez lent his talents to the event by moving the card between the boxing matches and live music performances with grace until he came face to face with Wiz Khalifa and following an on-air stumble left some viewers wondering if he had encountered a “contact high.”

Some fans commented on how the host had seemed to take the crown of “working everywhere” from the former golden host of Hollywood, Ryan Seacrest.

Several people also took the opportunity to laugh with the host at the, frankly, odd ad copy he had been fed to promote the home of the Pay Per View and TikTok competitor, Triller.
