Patrick Mahomes called himself out on Twitter after he inexplicably took a 30-yard sack in the win over the Dolphins.

Whenever Patrick Mahomes has the ball in his hands, he’s bound to create some magic for the Kansas City Chiefs. At the same time, the reigning Super Bowl MVP is also human and isn’t immune to making some terrible mistakes as well.

We saw that in Week 14 against the Miami Dolphins when the signal-caller tried to make something out of nothing and took a 30-yard sack instead. Fortunately for Mahomes, Kansas City went on to win the game and he can now laugh things off.

Even Patrick Mahomes knows his 30-yard sack was an embarrassing play

Mahomes trolling himself on Twitter is priceless. While running for your life away from massive defensive ends might work on Madden, it’s most definitely not going to have the same kind of result in real life. The Chiefs star learned this the hard way against Miami.

While it was a terrible play, Mahomes and the Chiefs did more than enough to leave Florida with a close win. Kansas City is now 12-1 on the year and holds the No. 1 seed in the AFC after the Pittsburgh Steelers suffered back-to-back losses to the Washington Football Team and Buffalo Bills. This team looks poised to compete for another Super Bowl title this winter.

Mahomes, who also threw three interceptions in the win over Miami, will have a chance to redeem himself this Sunday in a battle with the New Orleans Saints.

In what’s expected to be a shootout if Drew Brees is able to return, Mahomes very well could have a monster game to not only silence his haters, but also extend his slim lead over Aaron Rodgers in the MVP race.

dark. Next. Can Aaron Rodgers catch Patrick Mahomes and win MVP?
