The two hottest college football coaches that NFL teams are considering bringing to the pros are Matt Campbell, who had a Big 12 doormat in Iowa State fighting until the end of the season for a conference championship, and Riley, who has turned the Sooners into one of the most exciting, efficient passing attacks in the country. Campbell has been eyed by rebuilding teams as the perfect man to orchestrate a turnaround, while Riley could bring his expertly crafted offensive scheme to the NFL and hit the ground running. Ryan looks like a perfect guinea pig for Riley’s experiments.

While Ryan is a former MVP that likely doesn’t need the sort of schematically brilliant, young offensive mind that some younger quarterbacks could benefit from, he is much more valuable to Atlanta than most quarterbacks are to their respective teams around the league, and the Falcons need to hire someone with a sharp enough mind on Ryan’s side of the ball to engender some respect.

If Riley is able to ring in a respected defensive mind to take over that side of the ball, the Falcons could patch up the holes that made them a balanced team who could knock off New Orleans and take home the South in 2021.
