Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens are looking like serious threats once again to potentially win the AFC.

Remember earlier in the season when fans across the country were ready to write off the Baltimore Ravens as serious contenders to win the AFC and get to the Super Bowl? Well, those folks are surely feeling a bit silly now.

That’s because the Ravens are looking dangerous, with both the offense and defense playing their best football of the season. That was showcased on Sunday in the 38-3 victory over the lowly Cincinnati Bengals, with the team cruising to a big win.

Now, Baltimore will enter the postseason at 11-5, having won their last five games of the regular season. No one will want to meet the Ravens in the playoffs because they’re really looking unstoppable right now.

The Baltimore Ravens may have what it takes to get to the Super Bowl in February

On Sunday, Lamar Jackson reminded us all of how lethal he can be with the ball in his hands, throwing for three touchdowns and adding 97 rushing yards on only 11 carries. When Jackson is able to find a hole and break free, good luck to any defense trying to stop him from being able to take off for some big gains.

With Jackson’s dual-threat abilities, it really makes the Baltimore offense explosive. Jackson has been so good running the ball, he’s actually become the first quarterback in NFL history to rush for 1,000 yards in consecutive seasons. That’s an incredible accomplishment.

As good as Jackson has been, don’t forget about running back J.K. Dobbins. In the win over the Bengals, the former Ohio State standout rushed for 160 yards and two touchdowns. Him and Gus Edwards are quite the duo at running back for Baltimore.

Over on defense, the unit has given up 17.8 points per contest during the five-game winning streak. It’d be much lower, but Baltimore gave up 42 points to Cleveland in the thrilling win in Week 14. They’ll of course have to be at their best to potentially take down the Chiefs should the two sides meet in the playoffs, but they sure look ready.

Again, this Baltimore team is one that teams will want to avoid over the next month. They’re looking as dangerous as ever, with Jackson of course leading the charge.
