There’s a growing list of Philadelphia Eagles players who are angry with Doug Pederson for benching Jalen Hurts on Sunday against the Washington Football Team.

Things are going from bad to worse for Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson. On Sunday, the veteran coach decided to bench starting quarterback Jalen Hurts in the middle of a close game with the Washington Football Team.

Hurts was annoyed by the move and it’s since been revealed that multiple players even tried going after Pederson for putting in Nate Sudfeld. Now, Miles Sanders has stepped up to the plate and let everyone know just how mad the players were at Hurts’ benching.

Miles Sanders didn’t hold back in saying Eagles players are not happy

“Man if I’m being honest, nobody liked the decision, nobody,” Sanders said on Tuesday. “That’s all I can say really. I don’t know who was the main person behind that decision. All I know is that a lot of people on the team was confused.”

Sanders didn’t hold back with the above quote, and although he didn’t single out Pederson, everyone knows it was his call to make the questionable decision. The Eagles ended up losing Sunday’s game to Washington 20-14. The players were so angry because they wanted to end the season with a win.

Instead, they saw their record fall to 4-11-1 following the loss to Washington. Since that game, more and more people have come out to blast Pederson. Why in the world was Hurts benched? Pederson said the plan all along was for Sudfeld to get some snaps, but what for?

With Carson Wentz expected to ask for a trade this offseason, Hurts could end up being the signal-caller of the future for this team. What kind of message did Pederson think would be sent by having him Hurts the pine?

Sanders and many of his teammates have a bone to pick with their head coach and you can’t blame them for it.
