Jared Goff came in with the fire following a big-time victory over the Seattle Seahawks.
Jared Goff wasn’t supposed to play. He was supposed to hope that John Wolford could get the Los Angeles Rams past the Seattle Seahawks and into the Divisional Round.
Instead, Wolford suffered a neck injury that led him to go to the hospital. It was Goff’s time to shine. Many around their televisions probably groaned, knowing that the recent struggles would likely cost Los Angeles a victory.

On the contrary. Goff did his part and thanks to a 15-yard touchdown to Robert Woods, the Rams will move on with a 30-20 victory over Seattle. Not bad for a week off thumb surgery huh?
For weeks, Goff has been told his status with the team is up in the air according to Twitter scouts. Many thought Sean McVay would be better off with Wolford, including some of the Seahawks players.
With a victory in his pocket, Goff fired back and stood his ground against the smugness from Seattle. Honestly, he earned it too.
"Two weeks ago you saw them smoking cigars and getting all excited about beating us and winning the division and we're able to come up here and beat them in their own place," Jared Goff said. "It feels good."

Jared Goff’s outing plays x-factor for Rams
The last time Goff was on the field, he watched his team fall short and Seahawks’ safety Jamal Adams smoking a cigar while addressing the media. He took the field with a purpose and a mission.
This time, he walks away a winner.

Goff played one of the three main roles in Los Angeles’ win. He finished 9-of-19 for 155 yards and the lone touchdown. Meanwhile, rookie running back Cam Akers tallied 176 total yards and a touchdown on the afternoon.
Russell Wilson’s costly interception to Darious Williams was returned 42 yards for a score, swinging momentum in favor of Los Angeles. Outside of DK Metcalf, the Rams secondary shut down Wilson and made his bake a loss instead of cook a win.
Whether you love him or despise him, Goff’s role was a factor for the Rams’ victory. Now, he and the NFC West underdogs are moving on to likely face Green Bay.
