The idea of Harden, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant all playing on the same team together surely has Brooklyn fans fired up about the rest of the season. Even the idea of those three taking the floor together should instill fear in the rest of the NBA, as this new ‘Big 3’ could make some serious noise together.
As happy as everyone is in Brooklyn, the Rockets must be ecstatic to have Harden leaving the city. Both John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins called Harden out this week for how he’s handled things thus far this season, saying he’s been nothing short of disrespectful to his teammates.
Now, Harden will look to develop chemistry with Durant, Irving and the rest of the guys on the Brooklyn roster. This blockbuster trade completed on Wednesday will likely be talked about around NBA circles for years to come, especially if the Nets are able to not only win the Eastern Conference, but also bring home an NBA Finals crown.
