Ryan Pace’s press conference proves he didn’t learn anything from his Mitchell Trubisky mistake

Ryan Pace’s silence when being asked about Mitchell Trubisky is most certainly going to infuriate Chicago Bears fans. 

If the Chicago faithful had access to a time machine, they’d probably go back in time to prevent the Green Bay Packers from drafting Aaron Rodgers, but the No. 1 priority would be to make sure Ryan Pace and the front office didn’t use a No. 2 overall pick on Mitchell Trubisky.

The former North Carolina standout was brought into town to be the franchise signal-caller, but that just hasn’t panned out. With the Bears declining Trubisky’s fifth-year option last offseason, it’s looking like he’ll be leaving town.

It was a huge swing and a miss by Pace, but he clearly hasn’t learning anything from the monstrous mistake he made.

Pace can’t be serious right now. He was radio silent when asked what he’s learned after blowing it and selecting Trubisky with the team’s first round pick back in the 2017 NFL Draft? If you’re a die-hard Bears fan and you’re fuming right now, you’re definitely not alone.

While Trubisky showed some promise late in the regular season, he was reportedly playing for his job in the playoffs. How did that turn out? The Bears got steamrolled by the New Orleans Saints in the Wild Card Round, with Trubisky throwing for 199 yards and one touchdown. Those aren’t the numbers that will help your team pull off an upset on the road.

Now, the Bears are going to have to once again look for a new quarterback to try and help this team go on a deep postseason run. Trubisky obviously isn’t the answer and Pace finally knows it.
