Patrick Mahomes and Tom Brady did battle on the field, but the ladies in their life took to Twitter instead.

By now everyone should know what when down Sunday night in Tampa Bay. Tom Brady made history with his seventh Super Bowl victory, this at home over Patrick Mahomes.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers now are back on top for the first time since 2003. The Kansas City Chiefs had zero answers in stopping Brady’s arm, who compiled three touchdowns on the afternoon. Meanwhile, Mahomes felt the pressure all evening, being forced to leave the pocket 11 times and while taking three sacks.

The Mahomes-Brady narrative was the talk of the town throughout the week leading up to Super Bowl LV. So much so, it led to controversy after the game, stating that fans believed that the G.O.A.T. once again had the referees on his side to help pick up the trophy.

How out of control did this get? Let’s just say that even Mahomes’ mother, Randi, had some fun on social media, calling out Brady’s wife Gisele Bundchen for having the officials side with her husband.

Was The Super Bowl in favor of Brady?

Naturally, this feels more like a joke than a malice intent from the matriarch of the Mahomes’ family. She of course loves her son and wanted to see him win a second Super Bowl. What mother wouldn’t?

On the flip side, there are reasons to believe the referees were in favor of Brady. Two plays before the second quarter came to and end had the Buccaneers down at the one-yard line. Sure, both were called for pass interference, but were either really even catchable balls to begin with?

The Buccaneers remain on top, but Mahomes still will not be going down without a fight. In a game many will remember for the on-field banter, one has to think that the trash talking is far from over.

Next. The Kansas City Chiefs need an offensive line bad. dark
