Raise the flags, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be having a boat parade. 

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are world champs and are ready to party. After winning the Super Bowl, they’ll be doing so in style.

Tampa’s 31-9 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs marked the turning of the tide in the NFL. Down went Patrick Mahomes behind the defensive performance of a lifetime, enter Tom Brady with his seventh Super Bowl ring.

The city of Tampa Bay has had plenty to celebrate in 2020. The team not only saw the Lightning win the Stanley Cup against the Dallas Stars, but the Rays represented the AL in the World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

This time though, there will be a parade of a lifetime.

Per reports from ESPN’s Jenna Laine, the Buccaneers will have a boat parade for their Super Bowl victory. Yes, you read that right. Boats will be touring over the harbor come Wednesday afternoon to celebrate the team’s first victory since 2003.

Some might be asking why do it this way. Simple: The city has maintained that it will be a socially-distanced event, and this was the best plan of action.

Tampa Bay’s victory still will be celebrated

On Sunday, the Bucs became the first team in NFL history not only to play in a Super Bowl in their home stadium, but win it. Brady was on point, accurate and shined under the spotlight when his team called upon him.

Throwing three touchdowns is no tall task. It’s also something a few handful of quarterbacks have done all season against Kansas City. The difference-maker, though, was the two offensive lines.

Tampa Bay allowed one sack and four total pressures. The Chiefs allowed three sacks and nine pressures. Point, set, match for the Bucs.

Although fans will be watching from far away, keep a close eye on Devin White. The Bucs linebacker is an avid horse rider and dreamt of riding his horse, Dream, during the event. According to a tweet from Bucs general manager Jason Licht, that dream will be a reality.

That alone is worth missing work to see.
