Wide receiver Curtis Samuel has found a new home, with the speedster reportedly agreeing to a new deal with the Washington Football Team.

Leave it to ‘Riverboat’ Ron Rivera to beat out several teams out in free agency to land a coveted wide receiver target. And for Rivera, let’s go ahead and call it quite the reunion, as he’ll have Curtis Samuel showing off his wheels and making huge plays for him again.

According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Samuel has agreed to a three-year deal to sign with the Washington Football Team. Per Rapoport, Samuel’s new contract will be worth $34.5 million.

Samuel and Rivera are of course quite familiar with one another, as the wideout indeed made plays for him when Rivera was the head coach of the Carolina Panthers. Rivera has since joined Washington and Samuel is ready to follow suit after they put an impressive offer on the table.

This past season, Samuel was quite the offensive playmaker for Teddy Bridgewater and Carolina. The 5-foot-11, 195-pounder posted 77 receptions for 851 yards and three touchdowns. He also added 200 yards on the ground and two more scores. Because of his speed and versatility, it’s no wonder Washington and Rivera want him at FedEx Field over the next three campaigns.

As for the Washington Football Team, the team ended up winning the NFC East last season after finishing the year at 7-9. They lost to Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card Round, though. Now, the team will look to repeat as division champs next season. Adding a guy like Samuel is only going to excite the fan base leading up to the new campaign.
