Laurence Holmes of 670 The Score went on an epic rant about Chicago Bears general manager Ryan Pace signing former Dallas Cowboys backup quarterback Andy Dalton in his free agency. You are not going to want to miss this.
If you have two minutes and 16 seconds, you need to hear 670 The Score’s Laurence Holmes absolutely destroy Chicago Bears general manager Ryan Pace after the Andy Dalton signing.
Bears fans were hopeful their favorite team could orchestrate a blockbuster trade this offseason for either Russell Wilson of the Seattle Seahawks or Deshaun Watson of the Houston Texans. All their much-maligned general manager could do for them was bring in the former Dallas Cowboys backup. While Dalton was a good player with the Cincinnati Bengals, this signing set Holmes off.
.@LaurenceWHolmes was fired up today: "What is it that he’s done in his career as general manager of the #Bears that says to you he deserves another opportunity to pick the future of your franchise? They should’ve fired him today.”

Ryan Pace continues to make the wrong decisions at quarterback for the Bears
Pace infamously traded up from No. 3 to No. 2 to draft Mitchell Trubisky out of North Carolina in the 2017 NFL Draft. Patrick Mahomes went No. 10 to the Kansas City Chiefs, Deshaun Watson went to the Houston Texans at No. 12 and the rest is history. Four years later, Trubisky has inked a one-year deal to serve as Josh Allen’s backup with the Buffalo Bills. The Bears now have Dalton.
Look, Dalton was an excellent player in his prime with the Bengals. He was a three-time Pro Bowler in the early-to-mid-2010s, helping Cincinnati make the AFC playoffs his first five years in the league out of TCU. But guaranteeing him the starting job because he used to work with offensive coordinator Bill Lazor in Cincinnati reveals how dysfunctional the Bears are these days.
You can feel all the pain in Chicagoland emanating through Holmes’ rant of immense frustration.
