The Bills seized control of the AFC East in 2020. Here are five bold predictions for Josh Allen and his teammates as they try to duplicate that feat.

Everything went according to plan for the Bills last season. Josh Allen took a big step forward at quarterback. The acquisition of Stefon Diggs unlocked the Buffalo offense. The end result was the Bills knocking the Patriots off their customary ledge atop the AFC East.

Of course, staying on top of the mountain can be more difficult than reaching the summit in the NFL. The challenge for Sean McDermott and his staff this season will be to keep the franchise’s forward momentum going. This team can’t afford to sit still if they want to win another division crown.

5. Mitch Trubisky will get traded

Signing Trubisky to serve as Allen’s backup generated quite a few headlines for Buffalo this offseason. Getting him out of the pressure-cooker of Chicago is going to do wonders for the former No. 1 pick’s stock around the league.

In fact, his modest contract is going to be attractive enough to convince someone to trade for Trubisky before the 2021 season is through. Every team that suffers a potentially costly injury to a starter is going to debate trading for Trubisky inside their building. Someone will part with a mid-round pick to see if he can keep their offense afloat.
