Ohio State is not letting Justin Fields slander go unchallenged. The Buckeyes clapped back to the criticism on Twitter before the NFL Draft.

Ohio State has heard all the chatter around Justin Fields going into the 2021 NFL Draft.

They don’t like it one bit.

On Twitter ahead of the first round on Thursday, the Buckeyes turned their focus to belittling the criticism of their star quarterback prospect.

The idea that Fields has any leadership or attitude problems simply doesn’t hold true.

Justin Fields isn’t likely to go in the Top 3 of the NFL Draft

Even with Ohio State going to bat for Fields, he’s going to have to wait to hear his name called.

It’s well-known the Jaguars are ready to select Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence with the first pick. The Jets are then expected to grab Zach Wilson out of BYU in the No. 2 spot.

The 49ers traded up to pick third, but reports suggest Fields isn’t their guy. San Francisco is choosing between Mac Jones from Alabama and Trey Lance from North Dakota State.

After that, all eyes will be on Fields. The Falcons and Bengals don’t need a quarterback at No. 4 and No. 5. The Dolphins could, but they aren’t necessarily expected to. The Lions have Matthew Stafford. The Panthers have Teddy Bridgewater and Sam Darnold. The Broncos would have to give up on Drew Lock. The Cowboys are all in on Dak Prescott. You get the point.

Whoever gets Fields will have a quarterback who has excelled at every level he’s played at. He was undefeated in the Big Ten and more than proved his toughness by playing through injury against Clemson. He also has dual-threat capabilities. The potential to outperform his draft place is there.
