Jamal Murray stuffs Nick Wright into a locker over Nikola Jokic comment
By John Buhler
Jamal Murray crushes Nick Wright over his take on Denver Nuggets teammate Nikola Jokic.
Not long after FS1’s Nick Wright explained why Denver Nuggets star center Nikola Jokic should not be NBA MVP from his car, Jokic’s teammate Jamal Murray put the sports analyst on blast.
Wright was incredibly blunt in his 30-second clip filmed live from his car on why Jokic should not be NBA MVP: The Nuggets do not move the needle on the national talk show landscape. While that may be true, Jokic is a phenomenal and potentially transcendent player over in the Rocky Mountains. Murray recognizes that and crushed Wright on Twitter for his brutal take of Jokic.
Should Jokic win NBA MVP this season or is Wright right in that it should go to somebody else?
What did Jamal Murray say about Nick Wright’s comments on Nikola Jokic?
Admittedly, this has been one of the least captivating MVP races in recent memory. There is not a great candidate this year, to be honest. Do you give it to Giannis Antetokounmpo for the third year in a row? What about giving it to Chris Paul for the great job he has done in his first year as the Phoenix Suns point guard? Ultimately, this feels like it is Jokic’s award to lose, and he will win it.
The Nuggets are currently the No. 4 seed in the Western Conference with a 44-23 record. Paul’s Suns are four games better than them in the Western Conference standings. Usually, an NBA MVP award goes to a player on a top-two team in his respective conference. Paul’s Suns and Antetokounmpo’s Milwaukee Bucks meet that qualification. However, Jokic may be the exception.
With Jokic being a top-five player in the NBA for a few years now, it is his time to win league MVP.
