The Dallas Cowboys 2021 schedule is out as Americaās Team looks to get back to the postseason with a healthy Dak Prescott.
Few teams underachieved more heavily in 2020 than the Dallas Cowboys. An early injury to Dak Prescott didnāt help matters but the Cowboysā awful defense ended up dooming Dallasā postseason hopes in year one of the Mike McCarthy era.
The good news for the Cowboys is that Prescott is not only healthy but signed to a long-term contract, removing a very large black cloud that was hovering over the franchise surrounding Prescottās future. Dallas also worked hard to improve its defense during the NFL Draft, pivoting nicely with a stealthy trade down to land Micah Parsons as one of eight draft picks on that side of the ball, highlighted by six straight defenders to start the draft.
Those moves will be a significant boost for the Cowboys as they look to win the NFC East, which was easily the worst division in football last season. The Washington Football Team won the division with a 7-9 record a year ago, a mark that Dallas can easily better with a healthy Prescott and a better defense.
Drawing the AFC West and NFC South is tricky for the Cowboys but they have enough talent on their roster to win a lot of those games. Finishing in third place in the NFC East last season was also beneficial for Dallas, which has three winnable games on its schedule against Arizona, Minnesota and New England that could prove to be the difference in their push for the postseason.
