These three NFL teams must do their part to keep Julio Jones from getting traded to the New England Patriots.

If Atlanta Falcons star wide receiver Julio Jones is traded this summer, the likeliest team he could end up on is the New England Patriots.

This is a team in need of a dynamic presence in the receiving corps. New England should be significantly better than it was a year ago. By adding Jones in a blockbuster deal with Atlanta, the Patriots should be a playoff team in the AFC. He would fit in very well into Bill Belichick’s culture. However, Jones going to the Patriots will make so many NFL fans so unbelievably mad over it.

To avoid him going to the Patriots, these three teams need to put forth a serious offer for him.

This is how you repair the broken relationship with quarterback Aaron Rodgers

While the Green Bay Packers may not have the financial resources available, or even the courage to trade for a superstar playmaker like Jones, this is how the franchise can get back in good graces with reigning NFL MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers. As long as the Packers have Rodgers under center, they can contend for Super Bowls before completely bottoming out after his retirement.

Trading Jones in-conference would be a very bold move by the new Falcons’ brass, but this is how the Packers can get a “free agent” without actually participating in free agency. Imagine having Jones in the same receiving corps as Davante Adams. Green Bay would probably end up with the best record in the NFC again. Maybe this time the Packers will finally get back to the Super Bowl?

In reality, if Jones were to be traded, he is more likely to be heading to the AFC more than anything.
