The Denver Nuggets will face the Portland Trail Blazers in the first round of the NBA Playoffs.

A pair of Northwest Division rivals will clash in a first-round NBA Playoffs series, as the No. 3-seeded Denver Nuggets take on the No. 6-seeded Portland Trail Blazers.

Though neither club won the division this year, as that honor belongs to the top-seeded Utah Jazz, Denver finished five games better than Portland in the Western Conference standings. Even after losing guard Jamal Murray for the season, Denver had been a top-four team in the West throughout the season. Portland avoided having to take part in the inaugural play-in tournament.

Here is what you need to know to watch the Nuggets host the Trail Blazers in Game 1 on Saturday.

Portland Trail Blazers at Denver Nuggets: Watch Game 1 online

Date: Saturday, May 22
Time: 10:30 p.m. ET, 8:30 p.m. MT
Location: Denver, Colorado
Venue: Ball Arena
TV Info: ESPN
Live Stream: WatchESPN, fuboTV

Game 1 between the Nuggets and the Trail Blazers will be at 10:30 p.m. ET, 8:30 p.m. MT at Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado. ESPN will have the national telecast of this Western Conference Playoffs game. The available live streams can be found on WatchESPN and on fuboTV. While Denver is a considerable favorite to advance, Portland knows this Nuggets team very well.

While it goes mostly chalk in these first-round series, one advantage to having them is you will often get one division rival pinned up against another. It might be exceptionally regionally centric, but these rivalries can come out in full force in the playoffs, especially if the regular-season meetings were less than pleasant. Look for this series to go at least six games out West.

Denver needs to take early control of this season by taking Game 1 over the visiting Trail Blazers.
