Canadiens vs Lightning NHL live stream reddit for Stanley Cup Finals Game 2
By Mark Powell
The Montreal Canadiens and Tampa Bay Lightning face off in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals on Wednesday night.
The Lightning will try to buck a trend from the last three Stanley Cup Finals, in which the winner of Game 1 has gone on to lose the series. Montreal likes the sound of that, as they’re aiming to become the first Cup winner from Canada in 28 years.
Tampa looked like the far superior side in a 5-1 Game 1 victory. The Lightning’s top line of Ondrej Palat, Brayden Point and Nikita Kucherov dominated the game, with Tampa taking advantage of getting the last line change.
“It looks like they want to play against us the whole time, so we have to do a better job,” Nick Suzuki said. “You just have to do a better job of cleaning up turnovers, limit their time and space and try our best to keep them off the scoresheet.”
Both of these teams failed to win their respective divisions in the regular season, with Tampa Bay finishing in third in the Central, and Montreal at fifth in the Atlantic with just 71 points.
The Canadiens’ run to the Final has been both stunning and exciting for Canada’s hockey fans, but the defending champs stand in their way.
