Nebraska football is back with hilariously embarrassing safety (Video)
College football is in full swing and the Nebraska Cornhuskers are also in full swing… in the worst way possible.
When college football season starts, we expect some good games to start the first week. But sometimes that doesn’t always apply to every game that graces the television set.
Nebraska Football, we’re looking at you.
The first quarter didn’t even finish up before we got some quality, or not so quality content for twitter to use. If you didn’t see it live, it’s okay, we got you covered before it hit’s SportCenter’s “Not Top 10” this evening.
Nebraska’s safety initiated a forward-pass in a punt return against the University of Illinois… and it was embarrassing
Imagine this: there’s around four minutes on the clock in the first quarter, you’re in the end zone waiting for a punt to head your way and be (hopefully) a hero… or at least a major play that will be one for the books.
Instead, the ball comes flying your way and you receive it, start your trek toward the other end of the field before embarrassment also comes hurdling your way. You get tackled and out of pure desperation, you throw the ball?
This is Nebraska in a nutshell.
Nebraska has already gone through enough nonsense in the offseason, but this is ridiculous.
The embarrassing thing about this play is that you know that you’re not supposed to make a play like this. It’s even more embarrassing that this is something that resulted in points on the board for Illinois.
