Duane Brown says his beef with Russell Wilson is no more
In his media session with Seattle reporters on Wednesday, Duane Brown revealed he wasn’t happy with Russell Wilson’s offseason comments.
For Seattle Seahawks left tackle Duane Brown, he’s back in action for the Seahawks and hitting the practice field with passion after he re-worked his contract with the team. There was worry that he might not suit up for Week 1, but that won’t be the case.
Brown will be in charge of protecting Russell Wilson’s blindside and he’ll be doing so with his relationship with the signal-caller back on good terms. During the offseason, Brown said he wasn’t a huge Wilson fan.
Duane Brown is back on good terms with quarterback Russell Wilson
While meeting with reporters on Wednesday, Brown made it quite clear he wasn’t thrilled when Wilson came out and said he wasn’t happy with the protection he was receiving from the offensive line. Of course this was going to upset the star left tackle.
Since then, though, Wilson and Brown have talked things out and there’s no drama whatsoever between the two. That’s obviously great news for head coach Pete Carroll, as the two standouts are huge parts of this team.
The Seahawks will open up the season on Sunday in a road tilt with the Indianapolis Colts. With a win, Seattle can’t send a strong statement to the rest of the NFC West. Brown and Wilson will look to keep the good vibes going with a head-turning win.
Whenever a Colts pass-rusher is flying on the outside and trying to lay into Wilson, the quarterback will have the confidence in Brown to step in and put the would-be tackler on his fanny. Brown will be ready to be a brick wall in the trenches once Sunday arrives.
