Duane Brown and the Seattle Seahawks have re-worked his contract and the starting left tackle will be ready to rock this season.

While Seattle Seahawks fans have been battling anxiety all summer that the team may not have starting left tackle Duane Brown out on the field to open the regular season, that won’t be the case. According to insider Jeremy Fowler, the two sides have re-worked Brown’s contract.

Despite Brown not getting the extension he was hoping for, Fowler is reporting that the Seahawks have mixed things up to where now Brown will make $4 million in salary for the 2021 campaign, plus a $7 million signing bonus. There’s also incentives on the table as well, which Fowler says will have Brown around $12 million total for the upcoming campaign.

The Seattle Seahawks will have Duane Brown ready to rock in Week 1

Obviously, this is incredible news for the Seahawks, Pete Carroll and Russell Wilson. It’s no secret that Seattle’s offensive line has been downright awful in recent years. With that said, Brown is a Pro Bowler and a stud in protecting Wilson’s blindside.

The thought of him missing the opening game of the season must have kept Wilson up late at night. Fortunately, general manager John Schneider was able to work his magic and make the veteran offensive lineman happy leading up to Sunday’s season-opener.

Seattle will once again be in the hunt to win the NFC West, with Brown of course needing to play at the best of his abilities to try and help the team get the job done. The Seahawks have a golden chance to send a statement to the rest of the division on Sunday on the road against the Colts. Brown will be ready to make plenty of noise in the trenches as well.
