Sunday was a complete and total disaster for Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers, but the signal-caller is ready to flush things and move on.

There’s no denying that Week 1 simply could not have gone much worse for the Green Bay Packers. Considered favorites to beat Jameis Winston and the New Orleans Saints, the Packers suffered an embarrassing 38-3 loss.

Winston went on to throw for five touchdowns, while Rodgers finished the day with two interceptions and no scores. Ouch. While everyone rushed to troll Rodgers and the NFC North powerhouse, the quarterback said he’s ready to move on and forget about things.

Aaron Rodgers is already focused on Week 2 and trying to take down the Detroit Lions

“It might be a freak out outside the facility,” Rodger said. “I think it’s just a good learning lesson for us. We can’t play like that, we can’t start a game like that. “Not much to say. We got our asses beat by 35 points, we’re all frustrated by it, but just move on.”

Rodgers really didn’t hold back here, admitting that Green Bay truly did get their ‘asses beat’ against New Orleans, with the home side dominating play from start to finish. Rodgers, who took home MVP honors last season, could not get the offense going in the loss.

Yes, it was a rough showing. However, the crowd at Lambeau Field will have the place rocking with the Packers hoping to bounce back. Fortunately for Green Bay, they’ll welcome in a Detroit Lions team that suffered a 41-33 loss to San Francisco on Sunday.

If you’re in need of getting your offensive mojo back, there’s arguably no better defense to face than Detroit’s. With this one all set for Monday Night Football too, Rodgers, Davante Adams and the other playmakers will look to light up the field. Rodgers has all the confidence in the world his team will be able to get things done.
