Jerry Seinfeld trolls Mets fans to cap a season to forget (Video)

Comedian and New York Mets super fan Jerry Seinfeld trolled his Mets fan base.

With the New York Mets out of playoff contention, they are coasting into the off-season with self-deprecating jokes to make light of another missed post season. Comedian Jerry Seinfeld joined in on the fun taking a jab at his Mets fanbase during the call of Wednesday night’s game.

Sienfeld, who is usually putting a smile on people’s faces and always has a smile on his jokingly says other Mets fans don’t have this joy because they still reside in the New York City borough Queens.

New York Mets continue to rebuild

Sienfeld’s joke, all in good fun, was actually pretty representative of the New York Mets season. A moment of people on the same side going at each other, providing comedy for everyone watching. Instances like that were the highlights of the Mets 2021 season.

Starting with Francisco Lindor and Jeff McNeil’s clubhouse altercation that was allegedly over whether they saw or rat or raccoon. While it was pretty obvious that the two teammates were arguing about something the idea that it was about rodents was comedy for the MLB world.

This friendly fire continued when the Mets players started giving their fans thumbs down after making successful plays. It eventually blew up into something big with players being asked to stop doing it. The entire thing left everyone laughing and asking is this serious.

The team and fans were able to laugh through a season that started promising but ended with them missing the postseason again. Through it all, the team showed positive steps in the right direction. With a strong offseason, maybe next year will have all of their fans walking around with the joy of Seinfeld.
